We got a call from a user, a JM Filemanager user, saying that he uses JM Filemanager because of “Tag” feature. Tag feature allows him to instantly divide and group his files. “It is very convenient to separate my files with tags”, he said.
Nowadays, a tag is used everywhere. Some social networking site is famous for that and called “Hashtag”. Hash character, #, with a word or unspaced phrase allows people to find all related posts that have been tagged using the same hashtag.
Mac also supports tag features. People can tag files and folders to make them easier to find. You can create, delete, change tag name and color, and add or remove a tag to the shortcut menu to use in ease.
So we thought. If the file manager app is meant to be “MANAGE” and “ORGANIZE” files, a tag is absolutely and positively required for JM Filemanager.
You can easily create tags with color and assign them. A tag is acted as a folder so you can check all files with the same tag at main page.
“It would be great if we can assign more than one tag to a file”, he suggested.
We are planning to upgrade tag features in our next updates. We are always open to receive your idea or request, so feel free to contact us if you have any questions or demand.
Try using tag features with JM Filemanager now!
